About the Chester County Cheese Artisans
The Chester County Cheese Artisans represents farmstead and artisanal cheese makers practicing their craft in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Members dedicate their lives and lands to the art and science of making premier cheese from the milk of cows, goats, and sheep raised naturally and humanely on the Brandywine Valley region’s grassy pastures.
One of three original Pennsylvania counties created by William Penn in the late 1600’s, Chester’s fertile soils offer some of the finest farmland in the country. Journey here to discover miles of rolling hills and open space, covered bridges and farms — and now neighborhood hot spots offering local, artisanal cheeses imparting the flavors and notes of Chester County found no where else on earth.
We invite you to read the stories about our farming families, be tempted by their mouthwatering cheese varieties, then take a trip — visit a farm’s cheese shop, discover a market offering a member’s cheese or ask for Chester County Cheese Artisans’ cheese at one of the many restaurants recognizing its high quality. Doing so allows our member farm families to keep farming first, making farming viable and sustainable for the next generation. Supporting our local farms saves agriculture, land, and the unique character of Chester County, Pennsylvania.
The Chester County Cheese Artisans are a Project of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, Fiscal Sponsor.

Cheese, Wine & Truffles at Galer Winery!
"Local cheese and chocolates are the highlights for this October's "Art of Food." October 18th, Galer Estate Winery in Kennett Square will host the Chester County Artisans, which include: The Farm at Doe Run, Amazing Acres, Birchin Hills Farm, Meadowseat Farm, Yellow Spring Farm, Conebella Farms, and Shellbark Hollow Farms. Most of these cheese makers only sell to wholesale customers, which makes their gathering at Galer Estate Winery on October 18th all the more exciting for the local consumer. Locally made chocolates are also a huge favorite in our area. Eclat Chocolates will be paired with Galer Estate wine on the 18th." www.brandywineartisanwinetrail.com.
